Apollo EBIF User Agent

Navic's Apollo EBIF user agent supports the EBIF standard, including nationally inserted programmer and Canoe advertising applications. The Apollo EBIF user agent is fully compliant with the CableLabs Enhanced Binary Interchange Format (EBIF) specification. The EBIF user agent is capable of supporting both nationally and locally inserted bound EBIF applications as specified in the CableLabs standard and supports requests for information (RFIs), voting/polling, information overlays, and telescoping applications.

In addition to those features outlined in the EBIF user agent specification, Navic's implementation leverages Navic's industry leading HyperGate technology to enable additional features that support MSOs' ad sales business and cable operations. This functionality is available as optional add-on components to the base EBIF user agent and includes audience measurement, targeting, diagnostic and state reporting, and EBIF application filtering ("whitelisting").

The CableLabs EBIF standard is paving the way for operators, advertisers and programmers to utilize advanced, interactive techniques to better engage with their audiences across platforms and markets.
